Your Weight in Me 2021
Brunswick Street Gallery
'My movements have been slowing, my breath finding pause. My mind turning inwards, my thoughts finding form, emotions have both built up and been released in the intensity of creating these paintings. Some pieces have been created in conversation with one another, others on their own. Layers of anguish, sorrow, ecstasy and sensuality lie within the final forms. Playfulness and colour have helped in accepting the washes of grief and anger that ruminate and explode within me at random, seeking to be heard and understood. In creating this body of work I have found the comfort and warmth of my own embrace and the peaceful stillness in loneliness.'
